Matchbox Pictures has secured Patrick Brammall (Upper Middle Bogan, Offspring) as the lead for its new supernatural drama Glitch, which goes into production next week for ABCTV.
The six part series, billed as a epic paranormal saga about love, loss and what it means to be human, stars Brammal as Senior Constable James Hayes, a police officer in the small town of Yoorana, who is called out to the local cemetery in the middle of the night to find six people in perfect health, who have inexplicably risen from the dead .
Joining Brammal in the cast are Emma Booth, Emily Barclay, Rodger Corser, Genevieve O’Reilly, Andrew McFarlane, Daniela Farinacci, Sean Keenan and
Matchbox Pictures Executive Producer Tony Ayres said “Glitch is a wild ride of a show which aims to intrigue, excite and move its audience. Matchbox is privileged to be working with the ABC on their first adult paranormal drama.”
Glitch will be filmed on location in Melbourne and around Victoria and will air on ABC in 2015.
Glitch is being made association with ABC TV, Film Victoria and Screen Australia. Written by Louise Fox, Kris Mrksa and Giula Sandler, its being directed by Emma Freeman and produced by Ewan Burnett and Louise Fox. Executive Producers are Tony Ayres and Debbie Lee. ABC TV Executive Producers Christopher Gist and Carole Sklan.
The series is being sold internationally by NBCUniversal.
